CCC
CCC AGREES TO PARTICIPATE IN TRIBUNAL
In a letter received this morning June 3, from Consolidated Contractors
Company (CCC) in response to the Union's proposal for a Tribunal to
consider the dispute between Government and the Company over
preliminary costs and to make recommendations for a resolution.
The Company has agreed to participate and to put its case before the
Tribunal for consideration.
Meanwhile, the Union is yet to receive an
official response from the Government of Grenada who was sent the
very said letter.
However, the Union expresses disappointment over what appears to be
an out of hand dismissal by the Government to the proposal made and
the matter which was drawn to the Grenada Trades Union attention was
discussed at yesterday's TUC meeting.
The Technical and Allied Workers' Union is to make another appeal to
the Government of Grenada to seek a resolution to the deadlock by
putting the matter before a Tribunal of technically competent persons.
The Union has drafted another letter urging the Government to give the
Tribunal suggestion a chance and to be mindful that hundreds of
workers and many businesses will positively benefit from this project.
